Governance & Safeguarding
At The Mission, we take governance, accountability, and the safety of our people seriously. Our structures, policies, and training practices are in place to promote transparency, protect the vulnerable, and ensure that our ministry is conducted with integrity and care.
Safeguarding is not simply a compliance requirement for us. It is part of our commitment to love our neighbors well, especially children, youth, and vulnerable adults. We regularly review and update our policies to reflect best practices and diocesan standards.

**NOTE: Abuse Prevention Policies were enacted in 2022 using a base template from our diocese. Our Vestry and Staff reviewed and approved specific additions of language and reporting procedures in January of 2026. These policies will continue to be reviewed this year and may receive additional updates and changes pending best practices recommended by GRACE, a leading firm in survivor advocacy and abuse prevention who is currently consulting with our sending church, The Mission Chattanooga.
If you have questions about any of these materials, or if you need to report a concern, please review the resources provided below or contact a member of the clergy or staff directly.
Reporting & Diocesan Resources
